Bring your race indoor with Kinomap

You probably have heard about the first edition of L'Etape du Tour Indoor Challenge. L’Etape du Tour is the most unique cyclosportive in the world. Amaury Sport Organisation (A. S. O. ) is used to pick up one stage from the Tour de France and open it to amateurs. Kinomap is about to launch the first indoor challenge related to l’Etape du Tour to let participants feel the experience and the pain… but indoor.

First of all, Kinomap is a french developer of the patented motion videos technology. Such content is used for indoor training, having a set of mobile Apps able to interact with a variety of equipments: home trainer, exercise bike, elliptical or cross trainer, treadmill, rower… the App gives access to motion videos and adjusts the incline or resistance (depending on the equipment) according to the elevation profile of a particular ride, at the runner or rider’s exact pace.

Kinomap’s aim is to develop partnerships with race events, to record the track prior to the event and let the participants train on it, to do the race day filming and create indoor challenge later on.

For race directors, it helps to increase revenue and gives a better coverage for their sponsors by keeping the event live more longer, also in the winter time. No doubt there is also some benefit into social media. It also extend the event globally. It also allows a remote participation if the event has sold out and for participants living too far away.

For the participants, they can discover the track and learn the race ahead of the event. Kinomap motion videos technology displays the track and elevation profile on top of the video. For the ones having an exercise equipment, this is no longer boring as they can virtually ride, run or row on it. Resistance or incline adjusts according to the elevation profile. Participants can anticipate the ups and downs and prepare a race tactic.
